well, i’ve been invited to a convention of officer prospectives – people the army wants to send to become cadets (i am currently a private, just a couple of months away from becoming a corporal). i’m still debating on whether or not i want to do this… but i don’t think i’ll sign on a waver form. i think i’m going to go for it, or at least try. worst case, i’ll drop out in the middle – and get released on my original release date (february 08). anyway. i hope i will do well on this.

i told my commanding officer (a general) that i have been invited. he informed me, “you are going to become an officer, and then you’re going to come back here and work for us”. it kinda made up for the six months i spent taking crap there. at least, a little bit.

    ROTC  — 2 years ago

This is my main goal in life right now, to finish school and commission as an Army Officer. I have joined ROTC to achieve this goal, but all the loops I have to jump through just don’t make it seem worth it.

I am enlisted in the Reserves right now, and there is a part of me that just says screw ROTC and finish college. Then go through OCS and commission out of that.

I guess I’m just worried that my dad will kill me.
