How to go on a vacation alone

How I did it: i took a long weekend for my 22nd birthday and got cheap air tickets, i went down to Nashville, TN. to my delight, the only country music i heard was on the radio and i saw 35 bands in four days! it was amazing
Lessons & tips: do some research ahead, find places that showcase something that you love. mine was music, because i'm going to be a music journalist. so i spent four days, writing reviews on local bands. it was wonderful.

Big Sur isn’t happening.
But I am paying off quite a few bills instead, which makes me feel good.
I did end up going to Muir Woods. Hopefully that will tide me over for a couple months.
I really need my Big Sur getaway though :( I feel like I’m going insane.

I haven’t actually done it yet, but I am 80% sure this is going to happen, and I can only afford to spend a day there unfortunately (hotel rates are currently out of my budget).
I’m planning on renting a car in a couple of weeks to drive down Highway 1 all the way to Big Sur. Alone :D
There’s a restaurant there with a crazy dope view, so I figured I’d meander down the highway, get some pictures, and arrive at this restaurant in the early evening so I can catch the sunset.
Mmm.. burger, beer, Pacific Ocean sunset. I can’t think of anything more awesome.
