meet that special someone

I met my someone secial! we’re getting married October 12, 2007! We make each other incredibly happy. we moved in together December, 1 2006! Everything is going great!

and there’s a lot of work to do, there’s a reason why I want this so much to work: he is special. And he surprises and amazes me periodically with how special and wonderful he is. A man like that is worth the effort.
I’ll stop now before I’m sick.

I met my special someone 6 months before we started dating. He didn’t seem to be interested so I accepted we’d be friends and enjoyed that.

After six months of even more romantic disappointments, I finally accepted that this goal was out of my hands and might never happen. Literally 12 hours after I made my peace with the possibility of a life without love, I received an email from my friend asking me on a romantic date.

He proposed 9 months later and we were married last year.

I wouldn’t say give up hope, but truly accept and be okay with the alternatives.

It’s worth it (no surprise), but be clear on what it is, exactly, you want with this “special someone.” Marriage? Committed partner? Open relationship? One night stand? Trust me… we don’t all want the same thing when we say we want to “meet that special someone” :)
