We bought a second camera in Japan that easily fits in my purse so wherever I am, I have a camera. This does require me to sometimes carry both this camera and the clunkier yet better one but at least I always have something with me…I even bought a cute little handmade case for it!
So this goal is no longer something I have to try to do. Yay! 23 months ago

There was a rainbow in the sky for half our drive home. It was the fullest, most complete rainbow I think I’ve ever seen. Will wanted to go find the pot of gold… 2 years ago

a gyro booth near the station. Weird. There were a bunch of non-Japanese eating there on little benches in front of it… 3 years ago

I see where I was coming from with this goal, but I’m not feeling it anymore. My Olympus E500 is pretty big and inconvenient to bring everywhere, plus, who wants to look like a tourist? I still love photography, but at the moment I have bigger things to focus on. :/ 3 years ago

we take our trash here in Takanezawa. It is half a block from our house and marked by this little shrine or statue. I’m sure the statue was not put there to denote trash pick-up but just happens to be near. Even so, could you ask for a nicer spot to deposit your waste? Love it. 4 years ago

Now have working camera that is small enough to cart about AND I have batteries for it. I should really set a goal for at least one pic a day or something. Doesn’t have to be good, just has to be something! 4 years ago

For the longest time, I have wanted to do this. Now’s the time. I want to learn to pay attention to the world around me and to appreciate its beauty. I’ll have to investigate ways of sharing my pictures with others. 4 years ago

My old camera fell victim to a dead pixel, so I haven’t been taking any pictures. I just purchased a new one, and it’s tiny and perfect for toting around! Now I just need to remember I have it too take pictures with! 4 years ago

It seems like when you forget your camera at home the most unusual and best things happen…but when you bring the camera, nothing out of the ordinary happens..!!!! 4 years ago

Though it doesn’t necessarily mean I take more photos, and while it may seem there are few photographic opportunities (of the freeway, the office, the freeway, the office, the freeway…), those few that do present themselves are less likely to be lost. 5 years ago

Dear Self,
This would be easier if the camera in question had batteries. Go buy some!
