become a successful actress

I have no clue why I so desire the world of television and film. Maybe I like bright lights, attention or the constant chasing of money and work (i.e.-waitress, bartender). But, I think about this constantly day n night/day n night/day n night/day n night. I dream of receiving an oscar, and trophies of all kinds. My only problem lies in my lack of that darn focusing skill.

I have always wanted to be and actress every time I seen a movie I really liked I would take scenes form it and me and my friends would act it out together until we got it perfect.
We even sometimes filmed it to see how good…or bad we did lol.
Though becoming an actress is a little hard for me I live in baltimore md its not exactly the ghetto but its not richville either.
My mother is a (sad to say it) drug obsessed whore I hardly see her sober My father doesn’t live with me and he doesn’t support this.
My grand mother and friends are the only support I have.
My mother never reinstated me back in school when there was a chance for me to catch up so sadly I never did.
So I am pretty much poor and don’t have a way of achieving this goal so sadly this will probably be a dream I will never reach. T.T

Currently enrolled at Lee Strasberg, gaining powerful insights into his and Stanislavsky’s work on “The Method”. Growing and learning as an actress with every day, I feel good about the direction I am going. Life can take you on many courses, I feel I am on the right course, I feel I am on my way.

Becoming a successful actress to me would mean to make movies in Hollywood, for me to achieve that I would have to change a lot of things in my life.
The most obvious one is find a way to go to auditions in America. Thing is I live in South Africa, I’m only 21 years old and have achieved a lot in South Africa, but it brings me no satisfaction. The only way I’ll ever be really happy is if I could act in a good, first class, American, Hollywood movie…and then go on from there.

I’m hoping that, in time, no matter how impossible this feels to me right now, that I will achieved my goal.

As a child I memorized lines on T.V. shows and dreamed on being infront of the camera. I got lost in characters and became a whole other person. I found comfort in being everyone else. As I got older everyone always said I was too dramatic for the real world that I needed to be on stage. I’m still searching for that stage…but I will get there…oneday.

I wanna be an actress, but I don’t want to be in it for just the cash and attention, I want to meet famous people and become friends. I also want to get over my stage fright.
