Everyone knows how to hula hoop. It’s a shame that I never learned…
How I did it: I practiced moving around to music while hooping. It was awkward at first, but it became a more natural motion the more I did it. I also watched YouTube videos to learn how to do some tricks. They too were awkward at first, but the more you hoop, the more your body learns how to control it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought a massive, cheap 42" hoop from www.hoopguy.com and just practiced in front of the tv, between watching various youtube videos and videos etc on hooping.org, hoopnotica, hoopgirl and philthyhoops, and just kept on practising til I got it right! Read how I did it…

How I did it: Buy a hoolahoop Move your hips! It makes you more flexible! And my dancing has become less stiff, and more fluid. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Wandering around the internet one day I found http://www.hooping.orgThere's all sorts of great stuff on there! As I watched the videos, learnt about communities and read the stories I grew more and more excited to get in on the action! There's a link detailing how to make your own hoops which is very easy to follow.I read through it, made a list, then went straight to the hardware shop!Within an hour, I was back home making my very own hoo… Read how I did it…

Flutterbyflyby3 Let's go fly a kite, Up to the highest height!
My mom, my grandson & I laugh a lot when I try. Let’s just say that my progress is dismal…but I bring joy to my beholders.
Okay, I “gave up” on this goal, because I couldn’t find a hoop, and couldn’t decide whether I should buy all those yards of PVC just to make a single one… I was also apprehensive because when I was a kid, I could NEVER hula hoop. I would try and try, but my awkward, little gymnastics-geared body just couldn’t figure out how to move in circles.
While at the festival last weekend they had a lady selling hoops, so I picked one up and and gave it a spin… just for kicks. I don’t know what happened, but I was doing it after about 60 seconds of spills.
Made me feel so good that I went and bought that pretty black and purple hoop from her.
Now I can hoop with my neck, chest and hips… it’s only been two days but it’s way too much fun.
So I’ve resurrected this goal, because now I can mark it as DONE.

Yep, I bought myself a hula hoop. I had seen them earlier in the week at Walgreen’s, went back today and bought their last one. I saw them other places, but liked the quality of the ones at Walgreen’s.
I would like two – one for at my Mom’s house, one for home. I figure it may take a bit of practice as I have never yet gotten it figured out.

I have never been able to hula hoop. I have never focused on trying, either. I think this would be something new & different for me. A Spring/Summer stretching boundaries.
So I finally found a hoop. It is pink and blue and oh so sparkly.
I hooped for a good two hours yesterday arvie.
I can spin around in a cirle and keep it up =D
I think a few more sessions should do it =D
