I love books. I don’t always read them, but it’s comforting knowing that they’re nearby in case I feel like it. Buy/Sell/Trade places (like BookNook) are always fun to visit. The musty smell of old books that may or may not have ever even been opened. Dingy pages with a little water damage completes the atmosphere.
Ideally I’d like to have a pot of coffee or two going (but that’s it, not a coffee shop), and a a tin with individual cigarettes for sale. In the back would be a patio where people can read and smoke.
I’d probably lose my ass on the whole deal financially, but it would be cool to do. Also, if I had to close up shop, there might be like…3 people who think as they drive past the boarded up windows “Hey, that’s where that cool bookstore was. I miss that place.”
