Okay, I finished ONE mitt, but until I make mitt number two I’m not marking this one as complete!

...so I’ll just make them on my own. I’ve knitted basics like blankets and scarves, so now I just need to figure this out. I found this pattern that looks like what I want (although in a solid color): http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5306055,00.html

I’m on row twenty-four of the Thanksgiving Day mitts by TwinKnit. I like them, and I learned to cable, without a cable needle, no less, while working on them.
Ok, I’ve wanted some FOREVER! and now that I know how to knit, I’m trying my hand at it (er, no pun intended).
I’d love to knit a pair of Rock Opera gloves (fingerless or half-finger, above the elbow) but can’t find a pattern, so I’ll have to attempt to make my own.
Wish me luck!
I made up my own pattern and love them! Now I want to make more and more, so if you’re going to Wheatland the weekend of the 9th I’m planning on selling them.
stmarissa is trying to recognize the beauty in the mundane.
I was scared to try it at first, but I knitted a hat with double-pointed needles and it went fine, so I thought: why the hell not! I made my own pattern and everything, and have made multiple pairs for my friends, too.
You just need to know how to knit with double-pointed needles, purl, and increase stitches. Its not so bad.
If you want the pattern, I’ll give it to you.
See?
Just so I could make fingerless gloves for myself. Specifically Knucks from Knitty but also opera-length … oooo!
I’m not quite brave enough to try it yet, I still want to get a little better at Magic Loop first (did I mention I’m planning on using Magic Loop instead of dpns? ... yeah)
I may just give it a go after I finish the Devil Baby Hat from Kittyville … wish me luck!
I’ve made several pairs, my most recent pair is a kick-ass set of lace up opera-gloves.
