85/100 1 day ago

We haven’t lived in our new house a year yet but today we finally went and picked up a package at the USPS. All the other packages we’ve had sent to use have been left at the door step but this one the mail person didn’t want to leave for some reason? So we got one of those little slips in our box and then the next day one was left at our front door. We drove to the post office today (they were opened the day after Thanksgiving) and picked it up!

YEAH!

84/100 That Icelandic Sweater 1 day ago

My bestest friend knitted a sweater for me. She did everything for this sweater, dyed the wool, spun it, knitted it and gave it to me. I wore it for the first time today because the temps are now cold enough to not sweat in it. My son likes to lean on me – he said “Why do you have such an itchy sweater”. I laughed and told him it was given to me by his Aunt J. He seemed to be ok with it then.

It is itchy but luckily I’m the type of person who is completely ok with itchy sweaters. This one is so itchy that even thought I was wearing a long sleeved cotton tshirt under it I felt like I was wearing only the sweater.

I hope I can wear it many more times this fall/winter.

30/100: Bought Photoshop actions! 1 day ago

I’ve downloaded actions before, but this is the first time I’ve paid money for some. I had downloaded the samples from Totally Rad Actions earlier this year and really liked them, so I got them during their Black Friday sale today. I’m excited to try them out!

29/100: Worked on Black Friday 1 day ago

Blurgh. I never want to do that again. It wasn’t like it was hard, and I wasn’t in the part of the store that was doing crazy sales and stuff, but it’s just against principle to work on Black Friday. Black Friday should be about eating leftovers, extending the holiday, and mayyyybe a tiny bit of shopping. But not working.

83/100 gallery painting 1 day ago

Today I spent 2 hours working on the walls of a gallery for the big event we are holding for CLP. I helped with the purple wall and the light tan wall. I helped until my arms and hand didn’t want to work anymore. I’ve never prepared a gallery space before. It is going to be a nice event. The colors are great. Really bright and open. I enjoy painting.

Number 30 - Drive Downtown 2 days ago

Usually, the parentals won’t let me drive downtown, but as mama can’t see at night and can’t drive there, they let me. We went to see Grease at some fancy theater. It was a great time, and an easy drive.

Number 29 - Brandy Slush 2 days ago

I’ve had brandy before for sore throats or headaches, but this is the first time I’ve had it just to drink. The parentals just gave me a glass during Star Trek. Tasted real good.

82/100 a new play 4 days ago

Tonight we went to see a premiere of a student written play. I was thinking during intermission – what if this playwright becomes famous? I’ll have gone to one of his first full length plays before he even knew he’d be famous. WOW! There were people getting him to sign their programs at the end.

I’ve never been to a premiere of live theatre before (I don’t think!)

And I’ve never known the playwright of a full length play before either.

81/100 POM 4 days ago

I drank for the first time a brand of juice called POM. I had no idea what POM meant until I looked at the packaging closely.

I had WONDERFUL 100% Pomegranate juice. Boy was it strong but it was GOOD!

I bet I’d have it again!

80/100 new but don't want to do that AGAIN 6 days ago

So, I have a lamp next to my side of the bed and it seemed to break. Well, we were working on it and low and behold the thing sparked and then burst into flame and then stopped and then I unplugged it. AUGH! I am glad we worked on it when it was plugged in because we might not have known that what we did would make it do that so it was nice to know when we were both standing there – not when I was in bed getting ready to read or something.

And the yucky smell of burnt wires and electricity – good thing I’m not an electrician – I wouldn’t be able to handle that smell or the flames. : |

definitely going to find a new lamp for my side of the bed.
