Scared and Amazed!
 "My son was dying of heart failure when I brought him to America, but he has a chance at a future now."
How I did it: When my husband and I set out to adopt we wanted a baby girl. We found out she had a sister, and adopted her as well. Lessons & tips: Never be afraid to make the most of your life, and to say yes. The most amazing things happen when you do. You only get one life...there are no do-overs.

How I did it: I signed up at my local volunteer fire dept with the intention of being a firefighter, but in Maryland, you must first become an EMT. The primary coursework took 6 months, with shifts at the hospital ER and qualification rides. After (and during) the training there were many, many shifts riding the ambulance. How I did it: My mom suggested randomly today that I donate blood. So I agreed. It's an interesting way, to help someone else. So we went there, went through the privacy details, got pricked with a needle and went on with it. Yay. I almost passed out and was extremely light headed and everyone came rushing over. When I say I want to save a life, I want to get a feeling I would get from only certain experiences like it. Going with that, when I say this, I mean I don’t want to metaphorically save a life. I want to be able to see someone and know that they are still here because I was at the right place at the right time and was able to save them.

In my life, the closest experience to ‘saving a life’ was when I caught somebody in a bus xDDD I don’t know, maybe I want to help people because my own life is messed up like heck… Oh, well – that doesn’t really matter xD

I’m not saying i’m wishing for someone to drown or have a heart attack or something, but if that would happen, it would be stressful but i would be proud to use my skills to save someone’s life…

You wouldn’t be able to imagine the exhilarating feeling of being near death with someone (perhaps in peril) and being a saving factor. (I stand at a distance watching myself… and things just happen in a flash; no second thoughts, I’m just there doing it)
Will pursue further studies and practice relating to emergency medical services.

I naturally love helping people. At times it goes far beyond helping someone eat or find a job or even through a rough part in life.
TO save someone’s life often means you are either putting their needs before yours or sometimes even putting their life first.
I have saved many lives different ways. Some were suicidal, some had cancer or tumors, some were in immediate danger, swimming, fires, gang members, and more…
As long as I am here, I hope to help people.

Now this would be probably the greatest accomplishment of my life. I don’t expect anyone to give me advice, but it would still be nice.
