So far, I’ve made $12 selling things that are perfectly good that people have tossed carelessly aside. Here are the latest finds:

So last night i was driving around again with my boyfriend and we found some pretty cool finds. In the span of about an hour, here’s what we found:
Halloween Decorations
Xmas Decorations
Mystery Machine Toy
Misc other toys
2 old wooden chairs
Child’s wagon
Bag of jeans
My boyfriend loves to fix things, so he is currently restoring the chairs to their former glory. He’s sanding them all down, replacing one of the seats, painting or staining them, and voala! They’re good as new.

So here’s is all i found in the past two days(what i remember). Can anyone say garage sale?????
That’s what i remember off the top of my head, and there’s still a bunch more. Its crazy what people throw away!!!

Somebody threw out a whole box of shoes, two brand new cat carriers, a glass cookie jar, a stack of 45’s and a picture frame! I found this all in one night. It is absolutely amazing what people trash. I bet if i had more time i would have found more but it was night time and i had to leave:(

So i waited a few days this time before taking out my recycling, and once again, i found things that were perfectly good that people just tossed. It’s really ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these things!!
Someday people will learn how important it is to conserve and recycle and just be happy with what you have, but i guess it wasn’t today. oh well,i’ll probably donate or sell the items i find if i can’t put use to them myself. Every bit helps :)

So today I went back out to fix the recycling again and this time I found two more things:)
The first is one of the older dvd players. It’s a little big, but works just fine. I think the only thing i need is the cords that connect to the tv, which can be found at any store.
I also found a kids corn popper, which also works and is in good condition. I cleaned it up, and am planning on giving it to my nephew, whos now 16 months :D

So today I found a perfectly good school sized recycling bin. I was hoping to find a way to make it easy for my sister to recycle. Well, my wishes were granted. The only reason this was in the dumpster was apparently because it had frozen.
Its not that hard to clean out!
So i just dumped the ice, washed it out and now I have a convienient way for my sister to recycle. Yay!!

I was taking out the recycling today at my condo when i noticed that all the garbage dumpsters were filled with recycling and the recycling one was empty. Needless to say it made me a little angry.
So i starting pulling all the recylcing out of them and throwing it into the right container. As I was doing this, I began to notice items in the trash that looked perfectly good. So one by one I began to pull them out.
In the end, I walked away with a huge stand up wooden reindeer decoration, huge clean blanket, microwave, ionizer, shelf, and jewlery box. A few needed miniscule repairs, but otherwise worked perfectly. I was amazed at all the perfectly good items I found. I’m just glad I saved them all from ending up in an overcrowded landfill!
