Discovering new music 2 years ago

I had always been a punk rock, classic rock, alternative kinda girl….and then I discovered country. It’s catchy, it’s heartbreaking, it’s sweet, and it’s melodic and sometimes, even fast… and I love it! I have Matthew to thank for it…. when he asked “do you listen to country?” and I crinkled my nose and said “no” and when he walked out of my life, I admit I was intrigued and decided to truly give country a chance and went to the only girls I knew who loved country, Melissa and Julie. They gave me loads of artists to choose from, and I fell in love with them all… and if I could go back in time, I would attempt to make more of a connection with Matthew..he was beautiful… loved country AND hockey, who couldn’t fall for a guy like that? So thank you Matthew for opening my eyes to country..I absolutely adore it!

local music is amazing 2 years ago

i love almost all music. the fact that someones emotions can come through in beautiful sounds is incredible. growing up in a small town i was exposed to the usual popular music but also a lot of local folk performers. after moving to a major city i discovered the amazing local music arizona has to offer. we have an awesome music scene here and i’m always checking out small venues to see what is coming my way next. the sky is really the limit and i love it!

A good way to find new music is to sign up for pandora.com. They make a “radio station” based on bands you add, and then they add their own bands that are similar to the ones you added, or ones they think you may like. Also, if you go onto amazon.com and make a wish list, they’ll also suggest other things that are along the same lines, and you can view lists that people have made up and get new music that way.
