but do the real goldsmith stuff. That’d be fun. Maybe we’re gonna make our own wedding rings, we’ll see.

I will never stop making jewellery.. I love the process, and I just love putting pieces of art together that people can actually wear!
I have tried my hand at making a few different kinds of jewellery – polymer clay charms, semi-precious stone pendants & earrings, etc.
I had such fun learning to make these simple and pretty glass bead bangles.
I have enrolled in a jewellery making course at my local arts centre..and though this alone excites me..the goal will be having someone ask where I got such a stunning piece from..so I can say “actually I designed and made it!”..kudos indeed!

I went into the new beading shop down town the other day Monday I guess it was and I was going to sign up for a class but my cousin said she’d already been doing Jewellery making at home and had all the stuff, so today she came over and she taught me to make
Earrings and a Mobile dangler thingy, and we started on a “bling bling” collar for Ambrosia.. Poodles “need” bling..
So now I’m shopping on ebay for my own supplies. Woo hoo!
I first did this for my mum’s 50th birthday. She’d been after necklaces to jazz up some of her outfits, and pointed to one of mine that she liked and said she wanted the exact same thing in red. The necklace she was referring to I’d had for a very long time and I didn’t think I could find it for her in red, so I decided to make her one. It was actually surprisingly easy and it went down very well!
Since then, being the poor student that I am, I’ve been thinking about how I could make money out of my new hobby. So I’ve been thinking I could sell some of my jewellery at a craft fair. I just need some inspiration for some different styles now.
Well the attempt at making sea glass earrings is going well….now going to try making a necklace.
Went to the craft store today and stocked up on all the beads, wire and other supplies I think I’m going to need….unless I mess up badly. I’m going to use the sea glass I found on vacation in Prince Edward Island to make earrings and pendants…least that’s the plan.
Yeah signed up for a Jewellery class last week. Paid the deposit and going to do the class on the 23rd June! Now must just think of inspiration for some jewellery pieces.

Ghada ~ Girlstoys asks,
“Does anyone know of a DIY website for jewellery crafts - like beaded bracelets, etc.? I once took a jewellery course and made my very own silver ring, but there does not seem to be any classes in my present region”
