She doesn’t want to talk anymore. :(
insinuendo is watching TV.
I’ve started talking to her on myspace…we’ll see what happens.
The thing that makes me want to meet my half-sister, besides that she is said to look just like me, is that her employment choice of mustang rescue is so close to my goal of starting an animal shelter and running spay/neuter programs. I already work with both animal shelters & spay/neuter programs but I want to start each of these in an underserved area. I live in an urban area but rural areas have few options for animal welfare.
I found out my half-sister looks like me when the brother of my biological father ran into me at a restaurant and thought I was the half-sister instead of myself. She does animal rescue and animal welfare work like I do but her efforts are for wild mustangs and half-way across the country from me.
I have TWO half sisters and I’ve known one since I was 6 or 7 and the other since I was 8 or 9. Having a sister is inexplainable. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I actually forgot they were my half sisters after awhile. They are amazing and even though they’re half related to me, I love them wholely. We don’t even think about the “half” thing anymore…and that’s the way I like it.
Des is slowly regaining her sanity (unfortunately?)
She was put up for adoption before I was born. I met her for the first time when I was 26, and I’ve seen her twice since then. I haven’t spoken with her in probably a year, though. I should drop her an email I suppose.
but don’t mention that she is my half sister as she is my full sister in every way possible!

salamander7 asks,
“Has anyone been rejected when trying to get in touch with a half-sister? She does not know that her dad was married twice or that I exist, so he needs to tell her that first.”
