My natural hair color is dark black. I only dyed it once. I like my hair color but it can be dull sometimes. Lately i have been thinking about adding some highlights on them. Pink is one of my favorite colors and it’s super cute so I thought maybe I should dye my hair pink. But apparently it’s against the company regulation, so I had to find other options. I was thinking to buy some hair chalks but I heard they damage hairs. I found an online shop that sell clip-in hair extensions by accident. I bought ten colors. I selected a few and pinned them in. They look really cute, especially when I french braided them. I’m so gonna wear them next time when I meet my friends! 4 months ago

Everyone needs to live a little, some people jump off bridges for that, other jump off planes. I want to go for the safer option and dye my hair pink. It’s different and it takes a lot of guts and confidence to be able to go through with something like this and stick to it and I believe I am up for the challenge. 4 months ago

Put on a bubblegum pink wig at my company’s christmas party, and both the bosses remarked that I suited it…so tempting to turn up to work with bright pink hair now ;)
But I’m sort of dong something else with my hair right now. I know it sounds silly, but I always put a lot into my hair because it gave me confidence if I thought my hair looked good. But I feel like I want to develop myself as someone whose looks don’t matter. I don’t want to judge or be judged on appearance, and if I put effort into looking other than I am naturally, I feel that it may make it more difficult for me to look at people for who they are beneath their appearance. It is really a tremendously difficult thing to judge someone by their mind/personality/’soul’/ or what have you without being at all influenced by their hair, their clothes, their weight, their nose etc. etc. But I want to try!
Once I’m completely happy with myself regardless of how I look, that’s when I feel like I’ll be ready to have fun with my appearance. If that makes sense. It does to me. I ramble. It’s Sunday, I’m allowed to ramble on to myself. 5 months ago

Interviewed for a job recently that was well paid and not bothered about appearances in terms of funky hair, tattoos etc. Was hoping to have that secured so I could go ahead with this goal, but I didn’t get past the last round of interviews :(
This will have to go on hold whilst I look for a suitable job, I have a feeling many interviewers will take prejudice against pink hair even if it’s technically allowed. Bah.
Boring hair for a while longer :( 12 months ago

completed this goal
How I did it: I just stepped into a hair cuttery and asked for pink hair! There isn't much more to it, really. It cost about $100, but I did some extra things with highlights and black patches. Read how I did it… 13 months ago

got rid of the perm!
took ages to grow it out.
People on 43 things have been very helpful with suggestions on getting my pink hair the right colour!
I think the dyes I’m considering the most now are Manic Panic – Cotton Candy and LaRiche Directions – Carnation Pink (diluted)
Seems like diluting it is a must if I want it a bubblegum shade, either with toner or conditioner.
Will google tips on how to dilute it. 13 months ago
