go to a belle & sebastian concert

I saw them play a few months ago in Princes Street gardens. All the dour edinburgers looked positively bored but me and my friend found a pocket of weegies to dance with. Was soooo fun.

My first ever concert, and it was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing. Stuart is a master on the stage. Gorgeous, funny, and a great singer. They didn’t sing my favorite song, “Get Me Away from Here I’m Dying” but they still rocked in Seattle.

I really wanted to see B&S live after getting completely addicted to their music over the last year or two, so I finally booked tickets and dragged my little brother along to Cambridge to see them. They were awesome, seriously brilliant live, and we managed to get right to the front. I enjoyed it so much I found more tickets on Ebay and went to see them in London the following week!

I found out tonight B&S are playing in Melbourne tomorrow night, and the night after, and then they’re going to Sydney, and then Brisbane. Had I known this in advance, I would have been more than happy to fly over to Australia to see them. Why oh why don’t they come to New Zealand?

No matter, soon I’ll be in England and will see them easily (I hope!).

I didn’t really know them all that well, but I’m a convert now! And I can’t stop humming “Seeing Other People” and I’m starting to annoy myself.

Yay! Saturday 28th January is Belle and Sebastian Night! Hooray, I’m so excited! The last I saw them Franz Ferdinand were supporting them, it was that long ago.

I saw them at Christmas 2002, it was the bestest gig I ever went to and they sounded fantastic, furthermore I’m pretty sure Stuart was giving me the glad eye all the way through the concert…
