I’m actually not overweight (thanks to a decent metabolism), but I know that I’m not as healthy as I should be. I want to lose a bit of unnecessary fat through exercise and better eating.
Why only six pounds? Because I’m a fairly petite person (5’1” and 110 pounds, approximately) and so even seemingly trivial weight loss impacts me more than it would the average person. Six pounds seems like a reasonable, healthy goal for me to achieve by the end of this summer. It would put my BMI at just a little below 20, and, assuming that I lost the weight properly, would most likely get rid of a lot of my excess inches.

does anyoone know how to lose 7 pounds in 1 week? Im only slightly overweight, but its been bothering me for a while. I’ve tried everything! i walk my dog once a day (all i have time for) for at least half an hour,, somtimes less, and i havent had anything sugary, or fast foodish for the past month. And i’ve lost like 1 pound. I dont eat that much either….

Small steps

Rather than creating one really difficult-sounding long-term weight goal, I’ve decided to approach my goal in a series of discrete steps.
Yesterday, I weighed 331 pounds. Today, I weigh 330. My first medium-term goal? 325… but that will just be the first of many.

For the first time in my life I am overweight! I think that the constant munching of biscuits and one too many glasses of wine don’t help. I go to the gym 2x per week. I reckon I need to step the exercise up a level and cut out the sugary stuff and alcohol. I am simply not going to buy biscuits anymore and replace them with fruit and nuts. The most successful people at losing weight who I know do cut out the crap..

I lost 6 pounds in just over a week. Soon after that gained them back (I got very depressed and ate out of misery), but that doesn’t count. What counts is that when I set my mind to it, I DID lose 6 pounds!
