I’m working in Dubai for the next two weeks, then another three weeks before Christmas. There’s a gym in my hotel and I’ve nothing to do in the evenings, so I spend at least an hour in the gym strength training every night now, and take two protein shakes and two doses of creatine everyday. I’ve been here just over a week and already seem a little stronger by doing the regular training.
It’s also too hot to go outside for long, so the air conditioned gym is very welcome! ;-P

It’s currently 13 weeks till Christmas week. So I’ve got to gain an average of just over a pound and half per week. An extra 700 calories per day on my diet should do it 3500 calories is 1 lb so 700×7 = 4900 = 1.3 lbs, but I’ll also be training harder so it should all work out. Hopefully I won’t just get fat ;-P !!!

I want to acheive this goal by christmas, I’ve gained 12 lbs over the last six months without really trying hard. So if I really pack in the calories and keep up regular training, I should be able to get up to 200 lbs by Christmas. I’m 180 Lbs right now and 6 foot tall. I’ve always been a hard gainer and been really thin, but lately I’ve started to pack on muscle and it feels good.

I went to the gym this morning and I’m weighing in at 175 right now. I’m doing pretty good with my diet- packing in the Peanut Butter sandwiches and chicken, etc. It’s 12:20 PM right now and already this morning I’ve had a Creatine shake, a protein shake, a thick peanut butter sandwich, two packs of oatmeal, a giganto muffin and a donut (there was a little farewell party with donuts for an employee today). I’m full. As usual. I’ve also been doing good about having a meal and a protein shake right before bed. I’m sure that helps. So I’m back to my all time high as far as weight goes. I have gained ten pounds in the last two months, which is pretty difficult for me to do. I’m sore all over and I already hurt from this morning’s workout. The way I learned it, that means that my existing muscles are breaking down and making way for newer, larger muscles. Good.

I’m at about 175 lbs right now and would like to weight 195 by the end of the year. I’m getting there. I weighed about 145 when I got married almost eight years ago. For all of you who hate me for wanting to gain weight, you’ll get over it. We all have our goals. I have to work hard and diet to avoid scrawniness while most have to work hard and diet to reach it. Oh well. Some muscle would be nice. My kids are young enough that they might grow up remembering a pretty tough dad.
