work on my scrapbook

My husband and I came to the conclusion that I’m too much of a perfectionist for traditional scrapbooking. I have to measure, re-measure, align, and then re-measure everything I add to the page to make it just right. No wonder I never finish anything!

So, I purchased a scrapbooking program and I’ve been slowly working on projects there. It’s pretty cool actually. If I finish scanning all of the family albums, that’ll make it even better!

I want to work on my scrapbook at least once a week. I started it in 2004 and I have finished two pages! I have all this neat stuff and I need to just do it. I saw some neat scrapbook things at Target but I’m not buying any until I finish one whole book that’s my goal to finish one scrapbook by July of this year. I’ve seen these great countries and it would be neat to do it before I forget what I saw and where it was from. Really my creativity comes out mostly doing this and that’s a great feeling.

I keep buying things to do it with and I put all the pictures together to do it, but I never sit and actually work on it! I need to set aside some time and get busy!

My husband and I discussed workflow yesterday, and we determined that I work better when he’s here. When he’s not, I get distracted or lose focus. So I’m going to do housework after he gets home from work, and work on scrapbooks while he’s at work. I think it could work! There’ll be more time for everything this way, in theory. fingers crossed

My hubby went into the hospital in May and although it was only for a week – I feel that my life has been in a complete upheaval since.

I need a scrapping weekend!

I’ve actually finished up about 5 pages in my scrap book!

Next Friday I’m heading out of town to meet up with friends. We’ll be scrapping all weekend. REALLY looking forward to this because no matter how hard I try, I am not caught up. Guess it would help if I didn’t take so many pictures!

wow .. I guess I’m still in that same slump. My last post was 2/16 and I have a two page layout still sitting right where I left it. YET .. ACMoore has a moonlight madness sale – so what do I do .. I go and buy stuff.

WHAT’S UP WITH THAT????

I’m in a slump and need to be pulled out of it. I’m too busy looking at all the NEW stuff out there and looking at all the layouts people are doing with supplies that I don’t have. I’m simply overwhelmed and have this mental thing going on that says – well I don’t have THAT item so how am I supposed to create an uber cool layout.

SOMEBODY KICK ME IN THE TAIL!
