i decided i’m keeping my hair blue/black all summer and i am only dying the roots. !!! also it’s good that i dyed it this dark considering it would be a pain in the ass to try and go light again considering how hard black is to get out!! so i’m stuck like this for awhile :)
haha and even this chick told me the other day, once you go black u never go back!!!! it’s true i love this color. <3

My hair is now the longest it’s been since I was forced into a perm at eleven years old. Despite pressure, I am wearing it natural…
Correction; Despite enough pressure to turn my carbon atoms into a diamond, I am remaining firm in my resolve not to have it either chemically or heat processed.
As a result, I’m getting a lot of seethe and snippy comments with double meanings. Most of this is, ironically, coming from The Maternal Parental, her sisters, and her friend. All of whom either dye, press, or do something to their hair to damage it. It’s like the longer it gets, the more the comments come flying.
Wild.
Pushing them aside, I’ve got to get some more shampoo. I saw a sale on Pantene in the supermarket a few weeks ago and I’m hoping on another one in a few days. Hopefully, I’ll have some money to spare as I really like using Pantene now.

but I’ve sure done this in the last 6 months and I’m definitely proud of myself.

I have started to take care of my hair a little better then I used to. I have started washing my hair 2-3 times a week. I have started to do a coconut oil hair treatment before I wash my hair which is helping my hair to become stronger and much softer. I have to do some more things to my hair so that it can grow much longer. I have also started to take vitamins.

I want to enter into a polygamous marriage with Pantene and any future partners we may come across. This conditioner has literally taken the headache out of combing my hair.
Before, it would take at least an hour to get through everything and, even then, I’d still be left with a not so good style. With the Pantene conditioner, I was able to get through my hair in fifteen minutes. No tears [as in lachrymal], tears [as in rip], or anything. My sigh of relief could probably be heard for kilometers if it weren’t for this Alberta Clipper.

I was so exhausted from the work I’ve been doing over the past few days that, by the time I was out of the shower, I was too tired to do much with my hair.
I did manage to get it into two bunches. As little as a three months ago, this current state of my hair wouldn’t have been much more than a dream. My hair was still short to the point where I had a third, annoying, bunch at the back. Now though…
With Spring, my hair is only going to grow faster too. It always happens like that. Wild.

More Cornrows
In an effort to spare my hair the evil of the hot comb, I’m building myself up to cornrow my hair again. I’ve got to go wash and condition it in a few minutes so I can get through it first though.
I’m going to get to it after I do a bit more cleaning in my room since I don’t want my hair to get dusty.

I get waves of seething jealousy from some people over my hair. A long time ‘friend’ of my mother actually got snippy about my hair the more she saw it. Hers is at the point where it’s flaking out at the touch and to see my hair growing long and strong has her jealous.
I don’t know why though.
If you want your hair to grow out, stop putting the perms and dye in it. Don’t jump on me because I don’t burn it to death or put a bunch of chemicals in it.
It finally got to the point where, at my grandmothers funeral no less, she ‘noticed’ how my hair looked and, a few days later, just had to give her ‘sage wisdom’ regarding my hair. She told my mother that I ‘looked as though I escaped from a mental hospital’ and that it was ‘her duty as a mother’ to make sure I looked ‘presentable [hair wise] when I was out in the street’.
Just for the record, I hardly had raging spikes all over my head and no one else [NO ONE AT ALL] had a problem with any part of me but her. My hair was fully presentable for the occasion and in no way ‘crazy’ looking.
Between this, and other things, the friendship is no longer valid. Its kind of pathetic how shallow people can be about stuff like this. At first whining that shaving the head [for a woman] is a bad thing, and then doing everything in their power to tear a woman down for growing it out. /sigh/

I just bought some olive oil moisturizer which I plan on using every other day. I’ll continue to wash my hair once a week, but may start using a hot oil treatment on top of my conditioner.

I went to the salon yesterday. I got my hair washed, pressed and cut. So now it’s all straight and shorter. I’m loving it.
