tidy my flat

My mother was sick for last two or three years. And now… I live here alone (need to find locators, maybe students) and I have no time for cleaning and can’t pay for new things. I don’t even know what to do first.

I made this a personal challenge for me and I actually started to clean up. I removed some packages from the bedroom, sorting out what I want to keep and put it down into the basement.

No I have left only a pack of books that I’ll try to sell on ebay for some EURO next week. Maybe I can get rid of all the stuff I really don’t read again. But I’m a book addict, so I can’t sell them all. Maybe I can bookcross some this weekend. Have to print some new labels… :-)

I really have to clean up my bedroom. It’s a mess, because I used to pack all kind of stuff in it to get the other rooms clean. Now I have to sort out what I really need, what I can put down into the basement and what can go straight to the garbage.

You manage to get things tidy, then you let it go a little. Then you have a burst of tidying, then you let it go..

Why does it never seem to be done?

I tidied my flat for the last time last week. Tidied everything into bags and boxes and moved out. I can’t believe how much stuff was there, it must have been a Tardis in disguise!

I Need to tiday my flat as it is completely untidy at the moment!

I’m getting there slowly… thrown out lots of stuff that needs throwing out. Recycled lots of old newspapers.

Can now see the floor in my flat.

I surprisingly used to be one of the tidiest people I know. But then I split up with my boyfriend and didn’t have a reason to tidy all the time. But now my friend is moving in with me, and I have realised how much crap I actually own. So I am going to need to take time out at some point to put everything in its place and make some room for her.

The living room and kitchen is done … only the bedroom now (and thats pretty bad … ). Have treated myself with a quick blast on the internet before i tackle it. And i was right – it does feel SO good having things sorted out! Unfortunately, have discovered a load more jobs that need doing – hence the additions to my list! Whoops … Right, back to it!

Its ridiculous – i KNOW how great it feels when my flat is clean and tidy – but i STILL put it off for days and days! Its alwasy very embarassing when someone “pops in” for a cuppa and I am living like a tramp! ... When its tidy, I keep it tidier a bit better than normal! Even now I am delaying tidying, by writing this! Help me!!! Right, am going to do it NOW!!!!!
