We’re going on February 11th. It’s a Monday, but we thought going during the week would be a bit less crowded, so we’re taking the day off to visit the aquarium and the World of Coke.
How to go to the Georgia Aquarium
How I did it: One Saturday, I got in the car and drove to the aquarium. We paid for admission. They admitted us. We walked around and looked at all of the aquarium-related exhibits/displays. We touched some starfish and some manta rays. Watched a video on the Georgia marshlands and something about some type of whale. Ate overpriced cafeteria food, which was tasty. They started to close. We left.
Lessons & tips: They don't allow gum or drinking straws inside the aquarium; so, don't bring them.

sharks and all kinds of weird-looking fish swimming over you makes you feel you’re diving :) if u get chance go!
Well, we didn’t get a change to make it to the aquarium this past week, because we were so busy. We also decided to go see the Titanic exhibit that is in town, and since it’s only here for a limited time, we figured we should see it first. We live in Georgia, so the aquarium is easy to go to any time. The Titanic exhibit was a bit disappointing though. It was very short and didn’t have as many artifacts as I as I had expected. It was still interesting though.
My husband and I are planning on going next week, sometime after Christmas. We both have the whole week off (we work for UGA), so we’ll have plenty of time. I’ve heard good things, so I’m looking forward to it!
Half Pinay - I see mangos!!! is re-organizing her life!
I went sunday after a big telephone argument with my ex. After i hung up from him, i took my camera and my daughter and we raced up to the new Georgia Aquarium.
Oh it’s so wonderful. Everything i felt about my break up disappeared when i went.
Going to go again this summer under happy circumstances. It’s funny how I have plenty of time now to do what i want to do but when i was in a relationship i lived for him and lost myself. Therefore putting aside what makes me happy.
I went to the Georgia Aquarium and was not impressed. I was more impressed by the aquarium in Corpus Christi on $1 day. It may be the largest aquarium, but it is certainly not the best. I want my $23 back.
As a matter of fact I’ve been constantly recommending it to others afterwards (It’s good to have something to recommend with no worries). I’m planning to visit it again, with another group of friends, and with a better camera :)
Such a great experience! Spend some time down in the area and walk over to Centennial Park, too. It’s just a very enjoyable area overall.
was the sea otter. They are just the cutest things. It gets quite crowded on the weekends but it was a lot of fun.
