Stop being so frumpy around the house

The green plaid flannel shirts (size mens xlarge) are gone! 10 months ago

Gone to charity where I hope they will find there way to some big burley lumberjack who I hope will never know that a medium sized lady was wearing them so no one would know she wasn’t wearing a bra. And sometimes as a nightie.

I've been wearing the same clothes 10 months ago

every day for the last 5 days. Not all day or anything, just when I come home from work and have to change. I can’t even say that it’s an outfit that’s not frumpy. Just the least frumpy. Jeans and a hooded fleece sweatshirt that I’m sticking with because it’s the only “house” top that fits properly and isn’t stained.

I’m trying to stick to a budget, but I think I should at least buy a couple of tshirts this payday.

Sometimes, I can't believe the difference 10 months ago

in how I look when I go out and when I stay home. I was sick a lot in december, and I think I reached some new lows in what I was willing to call “dressed”.

I wouldn’t think of stepping out of the house without doing my hair and makeup and wearing clothes that flatter me. But the minute I get home, I take off my “nice” clothes because I don’t want to ruin them. And I don’t buy clothes for around the house, I never think to spend money on that. So the outfits I’ve been wearing at home lately are just awful.

I mean, just how many mens size large plaid flannel shirts (in various unflattering shades of green) does a woman need to own? And the fact that I’m wearing them with track pants? And then not styling my hair and letting it fall out of pony tails, it’s awful.

New Rule: Track pants only with fitted shirts that show off a couple of things

I have to figure out what I have that I can wear without doing a lot of shopping.
