Losing weight 3 years ago

Since making an effort at this I have lost 6 pounds, with no other changes to my diet. It’s motivating enough to know it works that I look at sweets in the store and decide it’s not worth it, every time. Not to say I’m not fighting cravings, but I feel more powerful than the cravings.

Last night I “snuck” a decadent, caramel-and-marshmallow-covered brownie, only to spend the next 20 minutes in the bathroom, and the rest of the night feeling like needing the bathroom again… EW.

Is my body rejecting the very substance it used to rely on for feul? Could it be that I’m not tolerating sugar well anymore? Dare to dream…



Stepping it UP 3 years ago

This goal is the next step from “Eat Less Sugar” because I’ve seen the difference it makes to not have it, and I need to make this a permanent change. I’ve been using Lent as an excuse to give it up, and I already know which (carefully selected) candy I want to have on Easter… One real-sized chocolate bunny, and a bag of black jelly beans. I’m tempted to include a Cadbury egg, but it’s so over the top, it’ll send me back down that spiral.
