So far i need to…
- Put up new wallpaper.
- Place new laminate flooring.
- Buy a new sofabed and get rid of my old bed.
- Buy new canvas pictures and place those
- Buy new Lampshade
This is going to be fun. :P
How I did it: I 1st had to organize some documents and craft items in another room in the house. Then I was able to get all the craft things out of my room. I also purged alot of things.
I make 3 piles trash, donate, and keep.
Lessons & tips: Stay ahead of the clutter. Or it will cover you up

Does anyone know where to get flokati or shag rugs on sale?
Also, eventually I want to cut up magazines and make a really cool, artsy collage. I also want to fill a whole wall with posters from different concerts. I need a desk chair, too.

I got a desk lamp, a framed audrey hepburn poster, and put up my cork boards. Now I just need to get curtains and put corkboard behind my world map.
well right now im in the process of changing rooms. now all i have to do is paint, get new bedding, and move everything else in. im going with a beach theme. i have been wanting to do this for a while.
I’ve got paint up on my walls and the new furniture is moved in. The things I need to do now consist mostly of putting in a phone jack and a TV hookup, getting a new door, putting up beaded curtains in the closet, getting new bedsheets, getting a new light fixture, and arranging everything the way I want it. The vanity’s already a mess. XD
My room before I started to renovate it was a mess. So I tore down all my posters and shirts and other junk on my walls, and started to paint it. I think I might finish painting today, but now I have to clean up all the other crap on the floor too and put furniture in it. A good time.
I always get the urge to ‘Rip it up and Start Again’, i suppose i just always need a million projects to work on. So pretty much the day after my exams finished, i decided to create some new stress. I dismantled all the furniture in my room and made plans to build loads of shelves in my room. I’ve ammassed loads of books recently, i seem to buy/find/steal about 20 a month, I read loads, i love it. Just the other week i got a parcel from Little Type containing Dr Franks new book “King Dork”. And the new Aaron Cometbus mini-novel “I wish there was something to quit”. Anyway, thats just an example, they are both great books. Buy em.
So anyway, my room, so far my progress is slow, i get distracted easily. I have cleaned the mould off most of the walls. My house has a damp problem, so i kinda just have to live with it, not having enough money to fix it all up and everything. Now i just need to fins some wood to make the bookshelves out of. I’m hoping i’ll just run into about eight 2 metre lengths of decent wood to use. but i suppose i’ll just have to buy some. Anyway, its kinda fun work, because i keep unearthing things I had forgotten about, like train tickets to weird places, or signs stolen off posh golf courses.
But yeah, i’ll hopefully have it all finished before i go to south africa in a few weeks (more on that later). Then i can sit in my newly furnished and uncluttered room (yeah right) reading books in the wicker chair that i swear is about 50 years old.
