own a grand piano

Really, though… I’m not very materialistic.
I could live very happily with my only physical possession being a very comfortable bed or other piece of furniture to sleep on.

Other than the comfy furniture, the main possession I’d like to have is a grand piano.

I will have a large, empty room (large, drafty room) in which to put it and listen to. Play therein. Etcetera.

I don’t need much to make me happy in life.
Just food and sleep, really.

But silence and sound are a good pairing, too.

I’d like one with a few extra low notes, a Bosendorfer, perhaps?
I’d like the range right down to the low edge of human hearing…

Perhaps the D or Eb below the normally-lowest A?

I’m contemplating the same thing for my next electric bass, though those notes may be less usuable on a piano… good for added resonance within the instrument, though.

I just love the depth and feeling one can put into music on a grand. I would really love to have one someday… hopefully soon. I’ve had my eye on the newspaper for people selling them in case I come across a good deal. Even a baby grand would be great for now :)

My mother has a Grand Piano and i would love to have my own some day. This may sound a little sad and a bit selfish but i’ll say it anyways, if something happens to my parents and they left me thier Grand Piano in their will (witch i don’t think they have created yet) then i won’t need to get my own and spend even more money on one b/c they are already expensive as they are. but i pray to god that nothing happens to my parents and hope they die gracefully and old. like 350 years old. lol i want them to live forever but that’s not possible…yet.

Hopefully I have relearned how to play the piano by the time I own a grand piano, or it sure won’t be as fun.

All we have is an out of tune upright.

I have been playing piano for a few years now and I recently went to a Steinway factory in NY and there is nothing like a Steinway. It is such a beautifull instrument. Maybe if God blesses me I can get one. I am studdying to be a Music minister at Bible college in Long Island. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.

That probably means I’ll need to graduate university first. Yeah…
