How I did it: I used to be so critical about my drawings that I found myself stressed in lecture class just making a doodle on my notes. I didn't draw often enough to just let it be a doodle. I wanted it to be a masterpiece immediately, and I would not settle if it were anything but. But once I realized that I was making this a much bigger deal than it was, I just went and got a little sketch book and kept it in my purse at all times. Sometimes I do le… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I used to draw all the time. However a new passion, writing stories, got in the way, and I never drew at all. But This year, I got an Art class, which basically forced me to have to channel my creativity onto paper. Also, when I've finished my work I draw. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started making my own clothes, but I had so many ideas I decided to draw them all out and then diagram it in steps. It helped so much Im now making clothes for friends ^_^ Read how I did it…
How I did it: with pencils, paper. by just doing it every day, and not listening to what drawing is "supposed" to look like. It helped that I took a drawing course over the summer that required doing 100 sketches from life. It was tedious as hell! But my personal drawing got immensely better. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have plenty of Moleskine notebooks full of drawings, typography stuff, tiny doodles and stuff. I don't know how it happened, but it just happened and I now realize that I've been drawing much more these past months and never noticed it ;)My next step, as for all the typo work, is to transfer them on illustrator.. which brings me to that goal I have to check done too someday: learn illustrator! GarlickyDays is trying to be productive.
This year is the first year academically I haven’t had to do art. Throughout primary and secondary school, GCSE, A-LEVEL, and first year of a degree I had to draw to pass a subject. Now I don’t have to and I’m really missing it!
I want to try to set a little time aside to do some art at least once a week.
good use of time at the arts center. volunteering, yet with the amount of us there, I was left to enjoy the live music in the gallery. sitting on the floor, stippling parts worked with the music.
pastel on canvas. I don’t want to use acrylic, haven’t figured out how to use oil in the house with the cat. she would find it well before it’s dry. not complete, but that’s how most of my work has been lately.
I love drawing but whenever I’d decide to finally sit down and start sketching, something always gets in the way, and in the end I’m just too lazy to do it. And I want to change that. :)
This year I began to draw again, but while have finished only this picture.
