How to visit Bohol
How I did it: I was lucky enough that a close friend invited his friends to come and visit Bohol. Within 2 weeks I booked a flight to Bohol and filed for a 4-day vacation leave. I really didn't have a solid plan in mind since I would be with someone who has spent most of his vacations in Bohol. True enough, the island didn't disappoint. I traveled with 2 Pollacks, 1 Spaniard and 1 Pinoy. We hit the beach upon my arrival. Panglao was beautiful although the water was low. The following days I went on a roadtrip with my friend using a 4x4 pick up. Interestingly, Bohol HAS RICE TERRACES similar to Sagada! I also saw mangroves and other beautiful beaches! I also swam the Loboc River.
Lessons & tips: Do your research and it would be helpful to travel with someone who speaks Bisaya. Always bring a hat, it can get really really hot!
