Did! Love the chicken fried rice but I’d pass on everything else on the menu! Fortune cookies rule though! (because you know that is REAL Chinese right there…)
I wouldn’t consider this goal accomplished, because I know I didn’t taste real Chinese food. It’s like saying you tried Mexican by swinging through Taco Bell. But I was really talking about Chinese take-out, because I’d never had it before. Mission accomplished!

Like, how about some shrimp lo mein, pork fried rice, and a shrimp eggroll??? Sounds good to me! :p ;)

However, Chinese food here is slightly different from actual food from China! My then roommate Sean got to go to China on business; he got to try all sorts of amazing dishes.
As a note: there are little ‘Chinatowns’ in most major cities. For the North-East it is New York City and Boston. If you get the chance to walk around there and eat; do so! You won’t regret it.
On the other hand, if something is staring back at you, it might be a challenge to eat. :) Good luck!
