I need to go to college. It is vital at this time in my life I am no longer fresh out of high school and it is time, that I get off my lazy ass and do something with my life. Although I have never excelled in the classroom I figure I will benefit more than going to college and graduating than not going at all. Hell I though high school wasn’t worth it. it was worth every penny now that I look back on it! And the things I want to do with my life require a college education! I want to be a psychiatrist :) I love helping people! It’s a great feeling :)

So I went to college and learned to drink! Surprise surprise. Next I learned not to drink and to catch up on all the things that drinking helped me not accomplish. At the same time, it was quite an experience. I made endless friends, some of which I still remember and keep in touch with. I had more experiences than I think many people will ever have and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. I took my time, even though I spent a long time doing it. I spent almost 5 years in college. Although…that’s the average nowadays. Especially for engineers. I think that I will eventually go back for a higher degree. We’ll see.
sarahkate00 is getting organized!
This is such an important goal to me! I dropped out of college during my 2nd year. I just thought it was too hard. I kept coming up with excuses for not finishing and I let it get the best of me. Well I am going to go back this fall and I am so excited but also so scared. I am going to a university and I am almost 27. I feel like everyone will be looking at the old lady, lol. I will do this for me and do this for my family :)
I can’t believe I’m through!
It’s the best feeling in my life though. All I can say for advice is just keep on going. It will be long and tough, and there will be times when you think you aren’t going to make it. Even if you do badly in a class or two, most schools offer “grade forgiveness” chances. Look into all your options – you never want to look back with “what if’s”
well i’m offically in college now i’m half way done with this goal… just gotta graduate now
Didn’t take college seriously at first and partied all the time. Academic probation twice, changed my major twice, sticking with the third and adding a minor. struggled through 5.5 years due to military obligations and life hardships and graduated finally in an Honor Fraternity to boot!
