I have cut out most animals products from my life but I worry that Im going to unknowingly end up eating something ex. Worchersire (SP?) sauce has Anchovy paste in it and alot of curries have fish sauce in them. I also have a bunch of animal based products (leather purses and shoes) that I dont really know what to do with… But in general Im starting to feel alot healthier:)

How I did it: Cold turkey, baby! I went to a wedding. Talked about milk. Went home. Finished off all the cheese in the fridge over about a week, and haven't had any more since. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After becoming a vegetarian, I did more research and slowly but surely cut back on dairy (as eggs were not a problem). I am much more healthy now, maintain a weight that is about 60 lbs lighter than I was at my heaviest and I've gotten SO much more energy. My moods are better, my body is healthier and my intellect is clearer. Read how I did it…
How I did it: First, I became vegetarian. I still ate dairy and eggs for a few years. I started cooking at home a lot more and doing a lot of research online and in medical journals. I then also decided to make exercise an everyday part of my life, which contributed to my new lifestyle. It is never a good idea to try to become vegan in a short period of time. I suggest working toward this goal slowly and steadily. As far as food is concerned, I am compl… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I've been a vegetarian since I was 14 years old. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I had always wanted to eventually evolve to a completely vegan lifestyle, and I have. I was even, for a while, thriving on a completely raw diet for a while as well. Those experiences were great, and I can not imagine eating meat again. But I do not believe, at this time, that anyone should have to feel so much guilt at what they consume, not the … Read how I did it…

im currently all veggie except for fish. It seems so hard to go vegan though. I could never go out to eat again. Plus I love cheese and eggs.. that makes it very hard to be a vegan
Super Awesome is sick as a dog
So I guess this is day one… How long ‘til I can say I am a vegan? 30 days? A year?
So I’ve spent the last few months easing myself into it. I now have tons of foods I know are safe and I don’t really crave anything non-veg.
I have been a vegetarian for years and years and now I want to be vegan. I am lactose intolerant and I hate the idea of eating eggs but I just haven't bothered becoming vegan until now because it is such a pain in the ass to find alternatives to the foods I would normally eat. Almost everything contains either dairy or eggs.i’ve been a vegetarian now for almost 2 years. what would it take to become vegan? is it just cutting out dairy, or are other foods not allowed as well? thanks.

The only thing i have really been having trouble with is honey. The only other non vegan things i have eaten were cookies, one macadamia and white chocolate and a personalised one my friend gave to me. I think i have been doing ok. I didnt expect myself to quit everything at once but im hoping soon all urges for any animal products will cease.
I have also only had vegan chocolate (aside from the cookie) which is a rather good achievement i think myself.
Mostly I just want the body / mind clarity that comes from having a healthy pure diet, feeding myself foods that do not gum up my system or tax its energy. Foods that are mostly alive still.

I have been vegan-ish for about two weeks. I havent bought/eaten/used anything with animal products EXCEPT honey! I dont know why, I know i need to stop but i dont find using honey that bad, even though i know it is. But for now i will stick to doing what i feel comfortable with. I feel confortable with eating honey-soy things but that could change. I have had NO dairy, which is an acheivemt i am proud of. That includes chocolate:D I have been buying vegan chocolate. Its not the best but i feel good eating it. I also havent eaten anything with whey or other little animal bi-products. As i said all except the honey! But yes. Vegan me :)
Hi, I’m a teenager. I just moved from Nigeria to Manitoba, Canada. I’ve always hated the fact that i shoved dead things into my mouth but I’ve been postponing becoming vegan because i like the taste of the dead things (don’t judge me. lol). I made a step today by buying less meat and more fruits (tiny step but still one). I have no idea what i am supposed to eat because i’m in a new country and trying a new diet. i seriously need to get an idea of what to eat and not. i’m not a great cook either but i’m willing to try. if anyone can help, it will be appreciated.
I’m 11. I really care. My mom won’t let me be vegan. I’m already vegetarian, and I’m willing for soymilk and replacements. I don’t really care what it tastes like. I actually think they taste better. My mom says they’re too expensive. Anyone know any cheap ways to be a healthy vegan?
I have been vegan before but i felt like i didn’t have enough energy… i would like to do it for real this time, much as i hate being the vegan downer, i have more reasons to do it now. i will miss boiled egg whites and greek style yogurt, but besides that, all the switches should be good for me. this time i am giving up fish too!
