xochitl213 is resettling into EEUU life... somewhat reluctantly, somewhat happily
I was offered a job in Puebla, which would be perfect for me, except that it pays very little. For me right now, the most important thing is the K-1 visa I’m trying to obtain, and that costs a lot of money. I told the school in Puebla that I’d love to come in the future and asked them to keep my resume on file. They agreed.

connections!

I met a great Mexico City connection here in Chile. She’s certain she can get me a job, teaching English if not music (English would be just fine with me). She can help me find an apartment, too, and I could stay with her for a bit while I look. This could very possibly go down this coming school year! I’m fired up.

I spent some time in Mexico City about four years ago, and I fell head over heels in love with it. Lots of people don’t understand – yes, it’s true the cops are corrupt and there’s smog everywhere and they have to pump the drinking water in and the rainwater out over the mountains. But Mexico City is, culturally and aesthetically, the most beautiful place I have ever seen. If you’d like suggestions of things to do while you’re there, or if you have any hints for finding jobs and/or apartments down there, let me know!
