How to get something pierced
How I did it: I wanted this done for a while. I wanted to get it done as an 18th birthday present. I ended up getting it done 2 days before my 19th birthday. I got my nipples pierced and it was wonderful. Not nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be.
Lessons & tips: Eat before you go. Bring someone!

It was the eyebrow after all. Got it done just after getting my permit downtown, so I thought I could as well check by the piercing parlour to reward myself ;)
The guy who did it for me was nice and open to questions, and he made sure to carefully explain everything about the aftercare. It barely hurt when he actually pierced it, though it bled quite a bit.
But all I felt was pressure, and I’m loving it! It was definitely worth the 40 CAD$ I paid, and I recommend it to anyone :)
The good thing about getting it done right now is that it should be healed by the time I go for a Summer job, which means I can use a retainer to make it invisible. So the job problem should be solved!
I wanted my nose, or my lip.
Buuut, my job wouldn’t allow facial piercings.
So, I got an industrial piercing on my right ear. :]
i just got it done last night, i haven’t even washed the marker off yet. i’m not gonna lie, it HURT. i’m a WIMP. whatever. it looks good. i looove it :)
even vanessa got this done before me.
maybe i’ll just get it done here instead of waiting to go back to the loo to do it. maybe.
ShipwreckMazuma I like life. Life likes me.
It seemed to make sense at the time…

I’m still not entirely sure if I want the industrial… it’s supposed to hurt like a cu**, and besides, it takes at least 6 months to heal. And I’ve got such long hair, which means I won’t be able to dry it or do much with it during that time… it sucks :(
I’ve got so many different ideas in my head… I probably won’t go for a facial piercing, for the whole job thing >.< But I’ll definitely get my lobes pierced a third time in Fall, and I’m planning on 3 helix’s and a belly button ring. Yes, I’ve changed my mind :P
So, no originality. Gosh, what all one does to get a good job :P
But maybe I’ll know more when I return from France this Summer…
now i wait till my license comes in the mail, then trip back to the ‘loo to see jessie and get my belly button pierced. its only a matter of time.

I’ve been playing with the idea of getting something pierced for at least three years. I already have my ears done twice on each side, but, honestly, I don’t consider those piercings “real” piercings. Everyone has their ears pierced, and it’s more like a decoration to me. The actual reason I want to get a piercing is because I like things different.
First, I wanted my belly button done really badly, but, like I said, I am very complicated in that case. I really like to stand out, and nowadays, so many people have their belly button done. I’m really starting to find that a bit boring.
Then I changed my mind to snakebites – although all my friends were keeping me from it and my whole family was spazzing, I was actually going to do it. And I really would have, if only I wasn’t so ambitious. Not many people would hire someone with pieces of metal stuck through their lips, and it’s really important to me to get a good job. This is also why I threw the eyebrow piercing off of my list. It’s not a very popular thing when it comes to trying to get a job.
So I didn’t get those done. Now I’m considering an industrial piercing (2 connected helix’), because it’s something that not everyone has, and, if the circumstances ask for it, it can easily be covered up with my hair. I’m definitely going to wait a bit though, because I know my mother won’t like that idea. And I want to give myself some time. If I’m really going to go through the pain of an industrial, I need to be sure that I really want it. I’ll probably pick my 16th birthday as a date. Most piercers would pierce me at that age, and I will be sure of my decision. :)
I loved it, it was amazing!! The only bad thing is that it was always sore or irritated all the time. And I never even had it for 6 months. In October, my belly button rejected the piercing, and now all that’s left is an ugly scar. :( I want to get it done again, but I don’t think that will be possible anytime soon! Still, nonetheless, it was worth it and i would do it again in a second.
