I’ve selected a watch I think I want. My other half is going to find out it it has a backlight for me and if it does then she will pick it up.
Only a cheap thing, but these days I no longer need phone numbers in my watch because I have them in my phone!
Today my watch strap was broken by a horse called Flash – I really need a new watch
I really can’t explain why this is so difficult – all I actually need is the time, on my wrist.
The issue is, I fear, one of aesthetics – the reason why I have not selected a new watch is the same reason why I do not have a tattoo.
My watch is something I wear every day and I have had the same style of watch for well over a decade. Unfortunately it does look rather dated and I could do with something a little more stylish.
I saw a picture of me taken recently when I was doing my radio broadcast from the Tate and I noticed that the wrist watch I have had for the last 15 years is decidedly retro.
It’s a Timex DataLink that is windows compatible and capable of reading phone numbers and appointments off the screen; however as I have a Treo all I really use my watch for is telling the time and for the occasional alarm.
I need a watch though; on the rare day that I forget to wear it I tend to check my wrist every five minutes.
I would like a good quality backlight (for checking the time in dark clubs), dual time, and at least one alarm. And a leather strap as I don’t like the metal bracelet type watch otherwise I’d be wearing my splendid Japanese knock-off Rolex.
