from junior high to college, cheerleading has always been a big part of my life. i loved the school spirit, the physical challenges, and the excitement of performing in front of a crowd.
after that period, there were Cheer Los Angeles and San Diego Cheer Elite. we performed in Pride parades and festivals to raise money for local AIDS charities. It fulfilled both my love for volunteering for a good cause, and for my love of cheerleading. but ever since i started slaving away for Abercrombie and Fitch as a manager, i had to make the painful choice to give up that part of my life.
with my decision to move to San Francisco, i hope to pick up that piece of my life again. Cheer San Francisco serves the same mission as Cheer Los Angeles and San Diego Cheer Elite, and it is the most respected and the oldest team out of all similar teams around the country.
their dances are more fun, stunts more difficult. their teams spirits are high, and i hope to make some good friends out in the big city. when i first moved to San Diego, San Diego Cheer Elite was the first thing that truly made SD feel like home. the warmth of all the team members is something that i will never forget. i hope to find that with Cheer SF, and do something that i love doing again.
