get into a good college

Getting into a really good college as been a goal of mine since 6th grade. My parents have not pushed it at all because they know that I am a self motivator and a determined person. I know that I can get into a good college it will just take effort and passion.

I’m currently a senior in high school and time for choosing a college is approaching faster than I thought. There really is no way that I would be able to attend college without the help of a grant or a scholarship. I’m a pretty good student, I work hard, and my ACT isn’t that bad, but I’m having trouble finding any help. I just thought that there would be more opportunities for financial aid out there, or maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places. I don’t know, I’m just stressed. Anyone else feel the same??

I really love New York City and I want to live part of my life there. I am considering doing my 4 college years in the New York City area. I’m not sure what college yet, and it doesn’t have to be IN the city just as long as it’s say 30 minutes at most from the city itself that’s fine. There are so many places I want to live and see, so why confine myself to the Bay Area for college.
If not New York City, I have also grown a recent interest in LA, even though I previously have told myself that I didn’t want to stay in California.
Another third option is the University of Portland, also in Orgeon like U of O.
No more UC Davis. Too close to home.
So right now some top choices would be:
-New York City area
-University of Oregon
-University of Portland
-LA Area

So… i got into several good colleges, but i decided to go to Oberlin conservatory, which not only is amazing, but offered me a relatively large merit scholarship.

I am in college right now, and i only applied to three colleges and i got into all of them. I got into USC, Clemson, and UGA. I really wanted to go to UGA, but out of state tuition was just too much. I am at Clemson now and i am so happy. Theres no place i would rather be right now.

it is really important to me to get into a good college majoring in something i really wanna do … i dont wanna be like those people who change there major every year and then end up wit the same one they started with from the beginning !!! but sometimes i really doubt myself because this is something i want really badly but im still messing up in school … the way i see it is if you are so worried about college, a good one then u should be doing yur very best in high school keeping yur grades up so u could actually get into the college you want to !!! but some how thatz just not workin out for me !!!
high school is hell for me … sigh …. im really dissapointed wit myself getting into a good college is something i alwayz thought about even before i even started high school (im a junior now)... im just one of those people who are alwayz thinking of the future .. but im talking about years… i dont know,maybe im crazy.. anyway not working toward my goal … i dont know maybe im just lazy but i dont wanna be anymore .. im really gonna try to change i doubt i will … thatz just me … so not confident

Yeah, I’d really like to go to JMU. I think I’d really like it there and it has a really good psychology department.

I kinda have an idea of where I want to go but I need to stay on track its so easy to get distracted especially me I LOVE DISTRACTIONS!

I’ve been considering Uiversity of Oregon as one of the first schools to put on my list. Also UC Davis, because I’ve always wanted to be a vet and it has a great vet program. So just two colleges I’ve put on my list of where I should apply.

Sounds hard, pleasing both me and my parents. But if I really put my fullest effort into high school this next year(sophomore), maybe being in good classes and hopefully getting honor roll will get me into a good college come my senior year. Something not here in California. Because I would prefer to go out of state, start seeing as much of the world as young as I can
