take a road trip accross the country without booking any hotels ahead of time and stay in a tent or the car for most of it

I like the gypsy stile of traveling!! I have always though of doing exactly this! I figured that I could get into a small town and look for a restaurant and offer to do some odd jobs in exchange of food, and see if they know anyone who could offer a place to spend the night in exchange for some work.

I though about this for a long time, I actually figured I would take my cellphone, camera, GPS, AAA membership, laptop, and a wireless internet acct. This way I could give some peace of mind to my family.

I would also make a blog about all the places I visit and I would have my web address on a sticker in my car, that way people could log in and let me know where they spotted me!

If you ever do this, let me know!! I would love to meet you when you come to Arizona!.

my friend jesse says that he is definitely interested in going this summer! my only hope is that he doesn’t back out. it’s hard to find people that are willing to leave their job for at least a month to travel without any true plans.

the only plans as far as places are: san francisco to look at colleges and just be there, long beach because of sublime, north to minnesota because jesse is originally from there, colorado because i love the mountains, and i dont really care where else. i wish we could hit all 50 states this summer, we shall see. the other plans are that i play keyboard and he plays guitar if we need some money we can stop some place open the guitar case and take donations.
