April 2009
I had never been to Sharkham Point before, so my boyfriend took me over there because it’s quite near his house! The place was amazing, with stunning views out to sea. :) We had a lovely lovely walk, found an unusual closed off building, and plenty of footpath signs sprawled along the floor! Really bizarre. But the walk took us right the way round to the beautiful St Mary’s Bay. Lovely!

I went to spend some time with family up in Lincoln. It was really lovely going on a walk around the area with my Nan & Gramps, Dad and sister! They live right by a canal, so we took a walk looking at the ducks and boats.
Really nice area, unfortunately I didn’t get to look around Laughter-town (neighbouring them) but it sounded fab! It was a very cold day out though!

Joe and I decided to divert our journey home from Lancaster in order to spend a day exploring Bath! This was another beautiful city (although for me it didn’t compare to Lancaster. I felt it was rather mismatched with different era’s all over the place). It was a very grand place, and we felt quite posh just being there!
We walked around for quite a while, and did a bit of shopping. My favourite part of the day though was going round the Roman Baths!! Joe loved this because he’s really into Roman history. I on the other hand thought I would hate it, but no it was great! Deffinitely worth a visit. :)

Lancaster was incredible!! I thought it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. I normally can’t bare not being by the sea side, but there was still a nice big lake. The whole place was like just one big village! It didn’t hav the atmosphere of a city at all, it was more gentle. Everything was kept in character. Cobbled floor was through the centre and all the shops and things had the stone exteriors still, even the inside like fantastically modern!
The castle and cathedral were beautiful so we spent a lot of time exploring round there. However the picture I have posted is one from when we were leaving the castle to head towards the shops, and I really felt that it summed this little city up!

We didn’t spend long in Blackpool ~ to be honest, neither me nor Joe liked the place very much!! We thought it was a really bizarre place, like very chavvy and touristy all at once. It seemed to be focused on the arcades and pier and fair ground rides … unless of course we just didn’t go to the right part?
We did however have a lovely stay in the Travelodge the night before my interview in Lancaster.

14th February 2009 ~ Valentines Day!!
Me and Smad went for a mish to Decoy country park on Valentines day!! Was very lovely and romantic and masses of fun!!! There was a beautiful lake which we sat by, before wading through mud haha over streams, which I found a little difficult!! We saw a friend of his who fell in love with camera and took plenty of pictures of us in all the trees and leaves!!
We’re takign everyone else there some time with the dingy’s and going in the kiddies park at night (when it’s empty) and going dingying :)

EEP!! Had my Social Work interview at Southampton… and whilst we were at it me and Smad took a look around the city!! I forgot my camera though!!!
To be honest, I didn’t think it was that nice. I’m a bit bias as I don’t really like cities… I guess it’s nicer than some, but there was SO much graffiti!! The good thing though, is that there’s a ferry nearby to the Isle of White!! Deffinitely going there sometime!!

WOW!! What a weekend!!! Me and my best mate Emma went up to Wolverhampton early Saturday morning because we were going to see Bloc Party!! (She bought me ticket for my 18th ~ that’s how awesome she is!!!)
We stopped off at Alvechurch on the way. That was a LOVELY pretty little village!! So much colder than Devon though!! We explored town centre when we got there before checking in at the Travelodge to get ready. :) It was GREAT!! We spent time jumping on the beds and generally having a laugh!!
The gig was awesome and Wolverhampton was a really cool place. IT SNOWEDproper snow which I can’t renember the last time I saw!!! It was so beautiful… really heavy snow! :) We kept talkign about going up there again!! :P

My boyfriends’ only ever been abroad once, when he was 14! 7 years ago now!!! He’s always been keen to visit Rome because he really respects everything they did, it really fascinates him!! He’s so clever regards them, too. :)
We were talking about going. Get a cheap flight over, then because of how much I LOVE camping, we could save money on a hotel and do this instead!!! (Cause we’ve both agreed to ‘save’ money now!! ... plus I can only go if it’s really cheap because I need to be saving money for Africa!)
This won’t happen for a while yet, need to wait t’il after summer exams or something…
we’ll see!! :)
