get a goldfish

from an auction site, I pick it up in 2 days, then i probably cant go to get fish until the weekend :( hehe

I had dug a pool in my 15 ft backyard. The rain flooded it, and then I used a good size kiddy pool. I also had 15 good size Koi plus other fish. Now years later I have used my 10 gallon tank with a few goldfish, but they are dirty fish. You don’t want to over feed but it is like they are always begging. I don’t seem to keep them for more than a couple of years. A tank decoration; a stone I think killed them…to me it even smelled real bad. Bad mistake…

If you take a goldfish, make sure the tank is fish friendly. Goldfish like to have companions and places to hide in or behind in case things get scary.
Not too much light. Not too much food.

and I’m going to name him “Bubbles” (after the recovering drug addict on The Wire).

I’ve been wanting to get one for awhile….and I think I’m going to do it today!

I’ve kept the original goldfish, sushi, alive for a year. Woo! I never thought that could happen. Toro is still alive and well, for almost a year. Unfortunately Tako didn’t make it due to disease. I like my fish, they’re alive and happy, but I’m ready to move on to more complex pets.

My parents bought a dog and I adore her. She thinks I’m a puppy and although that’s awful for training purposes, I love it. I don’t know if I’d ever be ready to take care of a dog on my own. But, maybe when my goldfish die (of old age, hopefully!) I’ll check out getting a frog or something like that.

Of all the fish, I like goldfish the best. So pretty and interesting.

Yesterday I bought two fantail goldfish and I love them – they’re so cute. I could sit and watch them for hours. :)

Decided to name them Epona and Shia.

Just really scared that they’re gunna die so I keep checking on them every five minutes. To be honest, I don’t have a very good record when it comes to pets. :(

As a child, I had goldfish. Then, not too long ago, Manda convinced me to get a couple of goldfish, which I had named Benny and Joon. Joon’s gone, but Benny’s still around. Since Isabella was born, I nearly killed Benny, by not changing the water frequently enough. I’m getting better about changing his water more often now.

Upgraded again.

Tako (the black moore) died so now it’s just sushi and toro living in their new mansion of 29 gallon : )
