learn to make handmade books

I’m a graphic designer, but I loved my book arts class at least as much as my design classes! I took the class in Fall 2003, and I have never stopped making books. I’ve made wedding guest books, wedding photo albums, and brag books for many of my friends.

I only have one tutorial up now at Craft Wonderland (craft.technochicks.org), but I’ll be adding more. The first one is for a pamphlet stitch book, which is super easy and the basis for many other book forms.

My goal is to learn the piano hinge book form and Coptic stitch. We didn’t have enough time to do either in my class.
