My ten-year-old sister is kicking my butt. She’s a pretty adept player, but still, it’s rather embarrassing. Sigh. Working on it . . .:)
How to become a better soccer player.
How I did it: By training individually every day, enjoying soccer, and playing on teams against older people. You have to love soccer, or you will barely see any improvement. You have to develop your weaknesses and make a schedule about what your gonna do on a specific day, and follow it. If you don't and you just play around doing whatever you want, you wont get better.
Lessons & tips: Off-the-ball movement is more important than on-the-ball movement.

Ok, so, let’s just forget that I am 33 and only started playing soccer consistently at the ripe age of 31. And let’s also forget that I only play on Tuesdays.
I want to be better at soccer. And by this I mean that I wish to stop using my Judo skills on the field and start using my soon-to-be soccer skills on the field. I called this guy named Mark Metzger who is a soccer coach at SPU and he and I have been playing phone tag for days.
In the meantime, I start co-rec soccer tomorrow. Hopefully I will be a stupendous player by the end of the day.
