ever since i read my first russian novel... 12 months ago

i think it was – the twelve chairs, by ilf and petrov…
i have been in love with russian literature.

since then i have read the works of many wonderful russian authors… such as pushkin, gogol, tolstoy, nabakov, and bulgakov.
russian history is amazing, complex and full of the most interesting individuals.
they have this very raw, honest – yet intensely emotional quality about them – that seems to be uniquely russian… and it intrigues me!
and in every work i read there was the recurring presence of vodka, vodka, and vodka – and then to cure their hangovers – more vodka and naturally hors d’Ĺ“uvres and caviar.
so anyway – i want to learn even more about russian history and culture, i want to learn russian, and most of all – i want to read as much russian literature as my brain can hold.
and then – i want to make a trip to that cold, barren place – and i want to discuss it all, with the people themselves… while of course imbibing their drink of choice.
