Oh yea secured tickets to a gig with eric in June!

Obviously you people complaining have never heard of Derek and the Dominoes  — 1 year ago

His most recent show was heavily from this era and with Derek Trucks on slide, it was most fitting. He filled in all of Duane Allman parts. And to see Crossroads live with Clapton, Cray, Bramhall and Trucks on the same stage was breathtaking!!! Hendrix’s Little Wing and the extended jam in Layla were the highlights for me. If you wanted tears in heaven, rent a MTV DVD

So worth it...  — 1 year ago

    Worth doing!

a lot of people say that he doesnt get in touch with the crowd. that isnt really what he does, but he DOES pull out some of the most sickest solos of all time…he is a living legend. and to see what he does is amazing

    A Very Wrong conclusion…  — 1 year ago

    Not worth it!

…was drawn in anticipating Eric Clapton’s concert as nothing less than spectacular. Indeed, the concert was ‘the greatest’ disappointment of any live show I have ever attended. Eric Clapton walked on stage in casual unimpressive attire and spoke not a word through the entire rendition; the concert was made up entirely of indistinguishable soul sessions and carbon copy guitar solos. Lyrics were illegible and in most songs – non existent. Clapton’s most famous songs never featured in the live concert and so the audience was left to bemuse whether this was indeed the concert they bought tickets for? It was a concert worthy of no accolades or recommendations; and will forever be revered as nothing more than a severe disappointment.

    Not worth it!

It is confirmed that Eric Clapton is coming to Brisbane and I will be seeing him in concert. My boss and I have bought tickets for ourselves and another work colleague and his wife to go and see the live performance on 7th February. We have premiere seats with centre stage frontage so I have no doubt that it will be a night to remember.

I love original songs, self-written lyrics and collaborated tunes for they help you to identify so much more with the artist. Many of Eric Clapton’s songs are expressive of his own turbulent journey; they capture some of the gravest disappointments and define some of his most inspired moments. I have no doubt that on Tuesday night, from the first song to the last; we will be taken on a journey into the heart and soul of this one man who has triumphed over so much and now stands as an inspiration to so many.
