I started using glasses since I was 6, so when I turned 20 I decided to have a surgery, and I’m glad I did!!

It has been 3 years without glases and it really worth it.

Windows to your soul... 3 years ago

I was terrified of the procedure to be honest, but it was so much easier than I imagined. And now I feel like my body is finally functioning the way it was designed to! If you get dough, do it!

Seeing without glasses or contacts! 3 years ago

I did it! I got Lasik and it is wonderful. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

looks like it will be another year 3 years ago

I don’t think I’ll have the funds to make this happen this year. And then, my hubby and I go to the Peace Corps. So, then it would be two more years until I’m in the states again atleast… and then who knows how long until I’m on my feet again. Plus, I wonder, am I ready to give up glasses? I do like them so! I would love to give up contacts but glasses are so fashionable!

Worth every penny! Took about 3 months for vision to stabilize after Custom-Vue lasik, but vision was still infinitely better within hours of the surgery than before it.

seeing 3 years ago

I did this 1 year ago today. I couldn’t be happier. I love waking up in the morning and looking around my room instead of having to go put in my contacts.

Lasik is the best ever!! 3 years ago

I went in for lasik at 8 am and was at work by 4 pm. I recommend this to EVERYONE!!!!!!!! But it’s your eyes, so pay the most you can and go to someone credible of course! If you get it done wrong, I hear there are halos around lights in your vision field. ALSO, I was NOT a candidate the first time I went for an appointment but I waited a year and then I was. Good Luck!!

The most amazing thing! 4 years ago

My vision was 20/800, practically blind, glasses since age 10, contact lenses for 20 years. My advice – do it! But only go to the very best, most experienced doctor. Not some discount factory – your eyes are precious. I can’t even explain the miracle of waking up and being able to see! Went back for one adjustment, and still seeing fine four years later. This is not where you want to go bargain hunting, spend the money, it is worth it! Dr. Tommy Tooma in Newport Beach is THE man!

I have glasses 4 years ago

and although they look kind of funky, im sick of not being able to see without them. I have astigmatism, my eye is shaped funny and things dont focus properly. im only JUST legally allowed to drive without glasses, and in a couple of years, ill have degraded so much it will be illegal. I want better vision!

Getting around to getting Lasik 4 years ago

I still don’t know why I haven’t done this… freedom from contacts and glasses would make my life so much easier on a day to day basis…

I guess it’s just one of those things that i keep putting off… my friend’s husband gave Lasik to her as a birthday gift and she thought it was the best thing he’d ever given her…

I need to make this more of a realistic goal than a lofty one.
