A little over 2 1/2 months ago I started the Couch to 5k running program and completed every week. This past Sunday I ran in my first 5k. My goal was to finish with dignity and not walk a step. That being accomplished, with a time of 46:05, I’m continuing my training in hopes to find a race in about a month and get my time down by 5 minutes.
My first 5k went well. I was a bit dissapointing in how tired I was and had no spring in my step what so ever. I ran my first mile in 13 minutes which is about a minute and a half faster than I had ever run a mile…I imagine that’s why I was so dead. So next race I will try not to so caught up in the first mile excitement. I have lost twenty pounds since my I started training…
