ItsB Is totalIy weirded out ... life's a bugger isn'it?!
Honestly, this is would be amazing … to see and experience the world for myself. I’ve listened to so many of my friends and family talking about their various travels and adventures – I would love to do this for myself…..
Seems a bit pie-in-the-sky though … Apart from financial issues, I don’t even have enough confidence to bumble around town on my own at the moment nevermind this!
But, I guess I can dream eh?! To travel the world; experience the sights, sounds, smells, tastes of the planet for myself; immerse myself, even if briefly, in other cultures;see how people all over the world live & love … WOW! That would be phenomenal…
To find the Love of my Life & to do this together … now THAT would be my dream!

The freedom within that you feel when you are able to make the decision to do this is fantastic. In reality, the only drawback is so many cultures & places without a break, take loads of photos and a journal, record your little thoughts they mean something years later.

It is my dream to take a year off and circle the globe traveling, but it just seems like an impossible dream. I have two Canadian friends who did it, spending three months in Europe and the rest of the time traveling through Indian, southeast Asia, and China, with just a backpack. But first I don’t see how I could take the time, and second, I don’t see how I could save enough MONEY. It must be at least twenty grand, even if you really skimp. If I could do it, I would start in Egypt, go on to India, Tibet, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan, then fly to Central America and see Guatamala, Belize, Costa Rica, and then down to South America to see Venezuela and Ecuador.
At this rate, what seems more likely is just taking a month off every year to travel, and just focusing on one region like either Central America or southeast Asia or India. That is feasible, although I would need to save quite a bit of money during the year. It’s not the same as taking a year, or even six months, but at least it is something that seems more possible. I am going to start setting aside money into a travel fund.

My bf and I have as a plan to travel around the world before we settle down in Maldives if our visa application here in Australia don’t go through. Not sure if we have enough money for a year of travel, but it would have been nice.
