I went to one in Madrid in 2001. We had a great time. I’d really like to see one in Mexico to see the difference.

On a three week MSU study abroad trip to Mexico, we took a little side trip to see a bull fight about an hour and a half outside of Puebla. I videotaped a lot of the day, have yet to actually review it, however. It was definitely an experience, not one I’d like to do over again though. The last bullfighter seemed to have trouble with his bull. He stabbed him over and over and the bull would not go down. People were calling for the bull to be saved, but in the end, he went down with the help of others. Come to think of it now, the experience was quite horrific. The bull was bleeding and pissing all over, and it just seemed like an impossible struggle. Too bad they couldn’t have declared victory for the bull…
