but I managed to laugh. We decided to have dinner, but left the telly on in case it was Sarkozy’s speech. Son gets up and leaves the room while we finish.
Suddenly my husband starts, and says, is that Sarkozy’s speech?
We rush in to find it was the evil alien person on the manga channel.
That sums it up really.

lovely burbly giggles just escaped from the very heart of me. Oooh it was lovely.
I think every person on the earth should go and think of the last thing that made them laugh (that didn’t involve hurting or killing anything) and then, tadata, the world would be a really good place.

screwed up something in my job to such an enormously large degree, that I pissed off hundreds of people today, and man did they let me know.
The only solution was to sit on the kitchen floor and laugh my head off.
I quite like the idea of pissing that many people off at one time. At least it stops them from being evil bosses to other people for the time to write to me and tell me I pissed them off. I should probably do this more often, and workforces throughout the world would be better off.

my head off today in the tube in London. They keep coming over the tannoy to tell you that the lines are running! Like it’s really unusual or something. What kind of message is that sending? The tourist board must be up in arms.
I was trying to work out why they did that (maybe Make Slough Happy thing has spread?) and came across this which made me laugh even more.

accidentally shoots this poor 78 year old guy and ABC news goes and puts this picture next to the story! Oh really, that’s terrible juxtaposition. You just imagine him saying ‘not a bad shot, eh fellas’ and getting a round of applause.
What is wrong with these people? Do they not understand that is just so hilariously wrong? I’m lauging in spite of myself, really. You wouldn’t see that in the local papers, would you? At least not where I come from.
