learn how to tap dance

I am taking tap dance next semester at my community college. It’ll be hard to commit to since it’s on Saturday mornings, but it’ll be fun. Classes start next month, and I’m ready to go :)!

My new mission is to learn how to tap dance. I took a community course a few years ago and have been wanting to take it again ever since. I’m looking for an affordable class at a dance studio and am thinking about signing up for it at my college next semester. I’m always tapping my feet and it feels like a perfect fit since I am a drummer.

tap dance truly is the lost art of seduction…

I’ve been going to classes once a week (Wednesday nights) which is great. I’m really enjoying it however, the girl teaching the classes has never taught before and it shows. I’m sure we should cover the basics before getting into making a routine for the end of year dance!

I’ve spent most of my life sitting in a chair watching old Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly ect ect flicks and thinking ”....I wish I could do that more than anything”. I’d just sit and watch them dance, and my heart would leap as I pictured myself perhaps one day doing the same…but I’m overweight with little confidence. But this year I’ve decided that’s not going to stop me, I’ve wanted to dance since I was a little girl, and I want it bad enough to change. There…I feel better now hehe

Considering I just got over a sprained foot, this might not be easy. But my friend who’s goal is to teach dance is going to teach me to tap dance! I’m super excited. I want to be able to be able to tap dance in front of people and impress them with my skills and then say “My friend taught me. She’s a very good teacher.” :]

I used to be able to tap dance a little…but I forgot. Now my tap shoes just sit in my car, and I really want to use them.

ever since i watched “annie” at 10 i’ve always wanted to learn tap dance. recently even more after watching “chicago” the movie.. what an awesome ending!! =D
