How to get my computer fixed

How I did it: Had a wee accident with my computer screen... 1/4 of it became unusable... Phone and phoned...
Some quotes were scary... Avoided for a while... Then my computer took a tumble and my screen became COMPLETELY pooched... Finally found a place with a reasonable quote... Dropped it off. Said my prayers. Picked it up a few days later and paid my dues. Lessons & tips: It turns out that when replacing a screen on a macbook, if you don't want to pay a total of $700 dollars, get a non-mac screen! Many apple places will install much more cost efficient screens from other computer companies... Looks fine, works fine, I'm happy! Another route one can take (advice from my friend) is find a screen on ebay and then just pay the installation fee with the local business... Worked for her!

I haven’t turned my computer off in two days because it is actually working at a somewhat decent speed. Except the D key doesn’t really work and I have to press it really hard. haha

Fixed it myself! Replaced the hard drive, ordered a new battery, and just about to pop in some more RAM. Yum!

dayum. i was on the phone with them for almost an hour!
but i think the disks are ordered on $26.95 for the shipping, no charge for the disks and they should be here on Wednesday.

think my computer needs to be totally re-set. trying to get the restore disks. 800-752-0900 or 800-652-6672. i’m on the phone w/ HP now, sounds like a customer service hub based in India. Pray that they can get me these disks! I love my 2 year old compaq and it has literally been around the world with me. i hope it can be fixed!
